For Withings scale owners moving weigh-ins to Garmin or Apple Health

Withings scale stopped syncing? Move your weigh-ins to Garmin or Apple Health.

Withings accounts made since 13 October 2026 need a paid plan to share weigh-ins with Apple Health or Garmin. The data export stays open, but its files won't import as they are.

1Drop your Withings export
2Save Garmin and Apple Health files
3Import them and keep every weigh-in

Drop your scale export

Read in this browser only. Nothing is uploaded or stored.

Garmin's file needs a BMI on every line. In feet? 5 ft 9 in is 175 cm.

How to get the Withings export
  1. Sign in at the Withings website (Health Mate on the web).
  2. In your Withings account settings, choose to download your data. Withings sends your readings as CSV files, usually in a ZIP.
  3. Drop that ZIP here as it is. We pick out weight.csv for you.

Withings says the export stays open to every account (Cult of Mac).

Garmin Connect

One reading per day (the first of the day), in the layout Garmin's own forum found works: a "Body" line, then Date, Weight, BMI, Fat.

Body Date,Weight,BMI,Fat

Garmin needs your height to work out BMI: add it above to save.

  1. On a computer, open Garmin Connect on the web and use Import Data (the cloud icon), at connect.garmin.com (the page is connect.garmin.com/app/import-data once signed in).
  2. Choose garmin-weight.csv. When Garmin asks how to read it, pick the weight unit you chose above (kilograms or pounds) and the date format that matches the preview (year, month, day).
  3. Your weigh-ins show in Health Stats, Weight.

Apple Health

Every reading, with its time, in kg. Pick one way in:

  1. An importer app: Health CSV Importer on iPhone reads a weight CSV. Pick Date for the date column and Weight (kg) for body mass.
  2. Or a Shortcut you build once: Get File (health-weight.csv), Split Text by New Lines, Repeat with Each, Split Text by commas, then Log Health Sample: Weight, value item 2, unit kg, date item 1. Skip the first line. A worked example of this loop.

Keep it, pay, or return it?
